This beautiful attic flat is located in the old village school of Erpen in the middle of idyllic Selfkant. Equipped with everything you need for a few days of relaxation and local recreation. With a generous 90 square metres of living space, a completely open living, dining and kitchen area and exposed roof beams, this flat is something out of the ordinary. With a glass of wine in hand, the wood-burning stove invites you to a romantic evening.
In the immediate vicinity, and easily accessible by bike with a little perseverance, are the following recreational opportunities:
- Lago Laprello: With its sandy beach and bathing area, Lago Laprello offers a nice opportunity to cool off. A circular path leads along the lake and offers several places to sit and take a short break with a view of the lake.
- Brunnsummer Heath: Highly recommended heath and dune landscape. A detour to the Roode Beek and the adjacent dune belt with white sand is worthwhile.
- Roode Beek: Beautiful bathing lake with a small beach in the middle of a nature reserve. Ideal for dogs to cool off, romp around and swim. But in the shallow part, children can also play very well in the water.
- Selfkantbahn: Historic steam railway -Wildpark Gangelt. The Gangelt Wildlife Park offers its visitors a representative selection of European wild animals in a near-natural environment.
And there are many other places of interest and, above all, geocaching points in the region, e.g. the westernmost point in Germany, waiting to be discovered.
Erpen is a small village that is relatively isolated in the middle of the countryside. Nevertheless, it offers access to the motorway in just 5 minutes by car. It is centrally located between Heinsberg and Geilenkirchen. Erkelenz is a good 15 minutes away by car. Mönchengladbach is about 30 minutes away by car. Düsseldorf and Aachen are about 40 minutes away. Situated in a small "cow village", it is a central starting point for daily changing excursion destinations despite its peace and seclusion. Selfkantbahn, Lago Laprello, Wildpark Gangelt, Brunnssumer-Heide are just a few of the worthwhile destinations. Great cycling and hiking trails offer absolute "NATURE-PURE" feeling.
